SHANNON STEINMETZ

Shannon Steinmetz, 85, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed on February 9, 2008 from congestive heart failure. He was born on January 16, 1923.
Shannon was a native of Leetonia, Ohio and moved to the Winter Haven area from Salem, Ohio in 1954. He served in the United States Navy and was a World War II veteran. Shannon was retired as the owner of Standard TV Service of Winter Haven.
Shannon Steinmetz was an active member of the Winter Haven Senior Softball Club and was one of the earliest members. He was inducted into the Polk County Senior Softball Hall of Fame in 2003.
Shannon Steinmetz was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Steinmetz. He is survived by one son, one daughter, one brother, eight grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
